Project Wheels for a Cause

Living life titled as a disabled person is hard enough, and discriminating against the handicapped isn’t making their lives any better. They 've been discriminated by society in many ways for many years. Project Wheels For a Cause has been launched in order to provide dignity to a person who has limitations as far as physical movement is concerned.

Why Wheels For a Cause is necessary?

The district has a total of around 22,635 specially-abled people according to varies reliable data and surveys conducted. Wheelchair mobility opens up opportunities for wheelchair users to study, work, engage in social activities and access services such as healthcare. Absence of wheelchair can restrict a person's mobility and independence. Everyday tasks, such as walking, dressing, or preparing meals, may be more challenging or require assistance.

Work done so far

We have donated nearly 100 wheelchairs to physically less abled individuals who hail from economically poor background. The distribution was carried out in Yerwada close to Nagpur Chawl area. The second phase of distribution was carried out at Amanora where selected physically less abled individuals were invited from Hadapsar area and were presented with a wheelchair.

The Vision of Wheels For a Cause

While we have initiated the project on a high note, there is still a long way to go before we achieve what we have set out to achieve. We are striving to present 1200 wheelchairs to beneficiaries by the end of the year 2024. We are confident of achieving this goal with help of generous individuals around the city.
